Terms of use

Affido produces draft evidence: findings traced to specific elements, conformance rows you review and edit, and questions answered from your own records. It does not certify compliance with WCAG, the ADA, Section 508, EN 301 549 or any other standard, and no statement generated here should be read as such a certification.

A report is a self-assessment. It is not an independent third-party audit, and it does not substitute for testing with assistive technology, for review by a qualified accessibility professional, or for legal advice. When you publish or send a report, a statement or a questionnaire answer, you are making that representation, not us. Review it first.

Automated and AI-assisted analysis is imperfect in both directions. It can report a problem that is not one, and it can miss a real barrier. Criteria for which no evidence was gathered are reported as Not Evaluated, and you should not represent them otherwise.

You may point Affido at a website or application only where you own it, operate it, or have permission from whoever does. You are responsible for holding that permission, and for any credentials you supply.

Do not use the service to scan third-party systems without authorisation, to probe for security weaknesses, to generate load intended to disrupt a service, or to circumvent access controls. We may suspend an account we believe is being used this way.

The crawler requests pages and follows links. It does not submit forms, and it avoids URLs that look like actions. That is a safety measure, not a guarantee: supply a read-only test account for signed-in scanning.

You are responsible for activity under your account, for the people you invite, and for keeping API keys secret. Anyone holding a key can start scans and read reports on your account; revoke one you no longer recognise.

Your products, findings, reports, statements and questionnaire answers are yours. We process them to provide the service and do not sell them. You may export or delete them at any time; archiving a product stops its share links and hosted statement working.

A published accessibility statement and a report share link are public to anyone holding the URL. That is their purpose. Do not publish one containing anything you are not willing for a buyer to read.

Subscriptions bill monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. Plan limits — products, pages analysed per month, questionnaires — are enforced as they are published; a request beyond them is refused with the reason rather than billed as an overage. A one-off report purchase grants a fixed page budget for a fixed window and does not renew.

Cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and your reports remain readable until then. We do not refund partial months, and we will not argue with you about an honest mistake — write to us.

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that every scan will succeed, or that its analysis is complete or error-free. Scans depend on your product being reachable and on third-party services we do not control.

To the maximum extent the law allows, our aggregate liability arising from your use of Affido is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including a lost sale, a failed procurement, or a claim brought against you in connection with accessibility.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may change these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to account owners before they take effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards accepts them.
